Not all states call them super drunk laws like Michigan does, but they essentially set more severe penalties for people whose blood alcohol concentration measures much higher than the minimum limit set for standard DUI and DWI laws.
What is Louisiana's "super drunk" law?
When your blood alcohol content is "much more" than the legal limit, your penalties can be "much more" than standard penalties. If a first time DUI offender in Louisiana has a blood alcohol level of 0.15 or higher, they are subject to more severe penalties. There is another increase in penalties for a level of 0.20 or higher.
