Louisiana laws, rules, and regulations as they apply to ignition interlock and DWI

Administrative driver's license suspension information

If you have been arrested for driving while intoxicated, your license may be suspended under Louisiana's Implied Consent law also known as an administrative suspension. Hardship license requirements

Interlock requirements as a condition of reinstatement of driver's license

Under Louisiana law, an ignition interlock is required for anyone with a prior alcohol violation on their driving record, if a child age 12 or younger was present in the vehicle, or if there is an injury.
